Launching event of the projectThe Romanian Hydrogen and New Energy Technologies HubRo-HydroHub

The launching event of the Ro-HydroHub project took place on March 13, 2025, in Râmnicu Vâlcea, between 10:30 am and 4:00 pm. The event was organized by the National Research and Development Institute for Cryogenic and Isotopic Technologies – ICSI Râmnicu Vâlcea. The event was held in the presence of the President of the National Authority for Research, Andrei Alexandru, alongside Vice President Tudor Prisecaru and Minister Marcel Boloș. Attending as guests of honour were representatives of the consortium partners, experts involved in the project, as well as representatives of national authorities, academia, industry, and other stakeholders.

The launching event, held in Râmnicu Vâlcea, highlighted Romania's commitment to developing research infrastructure and leveraging local expertise in order to strengthen the role of scientific research as a main part of economic and social development. In this context, the Ro-HydroHub project aims to foster collaboration between research institutions, academia, and the industrial sector, contributing to the development of an integrated ecosystem in the energy field and to strengthening Romania's position in green technologies, in line with the European Union's objectives of achieving climate neutrality by 2050.

The National Research and Development Institute for Cryogenic and Isotopic Technologies – ICSI Râmnicu Vâlcea, with over 50 years of experience in advanced research, is strengthening its role as a key player in the development of hydrogen-based solutions. The institute's activity covers the entire hydrogen value chain, from production and storage to utilization, contributing to the development of sustainable and innovative technologies aligned with the requirements of the current energy transition.
